*Completion Rate is the percentage of completed tasks out of the total that you had your offer accepted on and were expected to complete. For example, if you were assigned to 4 tasks and only completed 2, your Completion Rate would be 50%. Your Completion Rate is not visible until you have completed 5 tasks, however we're able to see it on our side of the platform.

Step 2 of 7 - How do Coles shop and deliver tasks work?

On the Coles website, Coles shoppers will be directed to Airtasker to get their shopping done by posting a task. Tasks will contain a Coles grocery list and additional notes.

Here is how you can complete a Coles task:

1. Make an offer on the Coles task.
Your offer should only include the cost to pick and deliver the shopping. It should not include the cost of the groceries.

2. Once you have been assigned the task, do the shopping.
Go to the nearest Coles and purchase the list of items from the shopping list. You will need to pay for these with your own funds.

3. Increase the task price to cover the cost of the groceries.
Using the Increase Price feature, send the poster a request for the total cost as shown on the receipt. You will not be charged a 15% fee on the Increase Price request for Coles tasks.

4. Upload receipt and deliver the shopping.
Take a photo of the receipt and send it to the poster via Airtasker Private Message.
Travel to the Poster’s nominated location and deliver the groceries.

Step 2 of 7 - Additional Information

How to make an offer / should I include the cost of the groceries in the offer?
Only include the cost of the delivery in your offer (i.e. not the grocery costs, they are added separately).

Who will pay for the grocery costs?
After you have paid for the groceries, use the increase price feature.

To increase the price:
 1. Go to the task
 2. Select 'increase task price' under the 'Request payment' button
 3. Enter the price and reason e.g. For the items bought
 4. Take a photo of the receipt.
 5. Go to private messages, attach the receipt image and send to the Poster
 6. The total amount on the receipt must match the task price increase

What about the service fee for price increases?

The service fee for groceries will be reimbursed to you into your Airtasker linked bank account. You may see two separate transactions in your bank statement.

What if the Poster doesn’t accept the increase price request?
During the trial, Airtasker will guarantee the repayment of groceries. If the Poster does not approve the increase price request, we will cover the cost of groceries for you.

Step 3 of 7 - How do I shop for fresh produce?

1. Quality – would I buy it for myself?
Selecting the best fresh produce is key to delivering a great experience for the Job Poster.

When selecting fresh produce – ask yourself: "Would I buy this for me or my family?" If the answer is no, then don’t buy it for the Job Poster.

2. Every customer is different
There are some fresh produce items that are tricky to shop for. Try asking the Job Poster direct questions, such as: “How ripe would you like your banana/avocado/other fruit?”

Step 4 of 7 - How do I shop for dairy and meat?

1. Pick products that have a use by/best before date at least 3 days away
Try to pick products which have at least 3 days product life. If no products have a use by/best before date of at least 3 days, then ask the Job Poster if they would still like to have the product.

2. Packaging
Job Posters can be specific about the packaging of their dairy/meat products. If in doubt, try the following packaging guidelines:Keep meats separate from other grocery products (pack in separate bags)Pack red and white meats separatelyNever pack meat with dairy products (this can be offensive in some religions)

3. Selecting meat products with approximate weights
Meat is priced based on weight. Try and pick the meat product as close to the requested weight as possible. Alternatively, you can clarify with the Job Poster how many portions they would like (e.g. x 3 chicken breasts).

Keep going! There are 3 more steps to go.

Step 5 of 7 - How do I manage out of stock products?

What should I do if a product is out of stock?
If a product is out of stock, you'll need to contact the Job Poster to ask if they want the product substituted. Here are some considerations when substituting a product:

- How different is the price of the proposed substitute to the product the Job Poster ordered?
- Is it more or less expensive?
- Check to see if the same product is in another size/flavour
- Check to see if there is an alternative brand in the same size/flavour/product category (e.g.if there are no Coles Chocolate Chip Cookies available, then select Cottage Chocolate Chip Cookies instead)

Do not substitute a product unless the Job Poster has requested it.

Step 6 of 7 - How do I maintain product life and safety?

Keeping products at the right temperature is critical to maintaining product quality and product life.

Here are some helpful tips on how to maintain product temperature:

- Pack chilled close to each other - if you’re packing items into a plastic bag, consider putting some chilled products next to each other (e.g. pack milk next to cheese or butter).

- Pack into a chiller bag.

- Buy items close to the delivery location.

- Purchase items close to delivery time - keeping cool or hot products (e.g. BBQ chicken) at the right temperature is tricky if you are purchasing long ahead of delivery time.

Great work, you're one step away from completing your Coles Badge application.
